Alexandra Lai-Ying Dobie

I’m a licensed clinical social worker in Boston, MA who works with adults impacted by serious illness and have had the privilege of working with families within various cultural contexts and in different settings over the years. I was born and raised on the traditional, unceded territories of the Coast Salish peoples – currently known as Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada – as the daughter of immigrants from Hong Kong.

The pursuit of racial justice is one that is deeply personal to me and one I believe is necessary in allowing all of us to bring our authentic selves into all spaces.

I love spending time and being silly with my two children and husband, exploring areas that are new to me, reading, and playing the piano.
